Lee Boys Edge Lenox
LENOX, Mass. – John Brighenti scored 13 points, and Mason Lucy added 12 Friday to lead the Lee boys basketball team to a 49-46 win in a back-and-forth game at Lenox.
Mitchell Keenan added seven for the Wildcats, who evened their record at .500 heading into next week’s Western Massachusetts Class C Tournament.
Nico Leslie scored 22 points and grabbed seven rebounds for Lenox, which got 14 rebounds from Jason Sibley.
“Playing without two starters due to illness, Lenox showed tremendous heart, energy, and intensity from start to finish, with multiple players stepping up in expanded roles,” Millionaires coach Len Miller said. “The game also marked Senior Night, and seniors Evan Love, Jason Sibley, and Mike Methe made meaningful contributions and led with poise and determination.”
Lenox (3-11) hosts Libertas Charter on Monday.
Lee (9-9) learns Tuesday who it will face in the quarter-finals of the regional tournament.
