Abellie Leads Generals Past Drury

PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Quincy Abellie scored 24 points, and the Pittsfield boys basketball team pulled away in the fourth quarter to earn a 78-58 win and a season sweep of Drury on Tuesday night.
 
Abellie hit a 3-pointer and scored six points in the fourth, when Pittsfield outscored the Blue Devils, 20-11.
 
Bri’awn Thompson scored 18 points, and Noah Smalls added 13 in the win.
 
“We played well, and I couldn’t be prouder of them and the program as a whole,” Generals coach Jerome Edgerton said.
 
Jorge Bond scored 22 points to lead Drury, which got 15 from Connor Hinkell.
 
The Blue Devils (8-2) are home on Friday against Taconic.
 
Pittsfield (7-2) plays Niskayuna, N.Y., on Saturday morning at the Hoophall Classic at Springfield Central.
