Top-Seeded Blue Devils Roll Past Salem Academy

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. – Connor Hinkell Saturday scored 23 points to lead the Drury boys basketball team to a 78-52 win over Salem Academy in the first round of the Division 5 State Tournament.
 
Jorge Bond scored 21 on a night when four Blue Devils finished in double figures as top-seeded Drury (20-2) advanced to Tuesday’s Sweet 16 home game against Avon Middle High School.
 
Shane Faucher scored 14, and Brayden Durant added 11 in Drury’s 12th straight win.
 
The Blue Devils took control of the game early with a 19-5 first quarter, when Hinkell scored eight points.
