Local Basketball Players to Compete in Western Mass All-Star Games

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. -- More than a dozen local high school seniors are scheduled to play in Friday night's Western Massachusetts All-Star Games at the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame and Museum.
 
The event features two boys and one girls game in a triple-header starting at 5:30.
 
The first game, between boys in Classes C and D, will include five Berkshire County players, including two high school teammates playing on opposite teams.
 
One team of C/D all-stars includes Mount Everett's Guthrie Davis, Drury's Connor Hinkell and Hoosac Valley's Adan Wicks. Their opposing team will include McCann Tech's Zach Howland and Hoosac Valley's Qwanell Bradley.
 
At about 7 p.m., the girls all-star game tips off.
 
One team will include Wahconah's Madison McCarthy. The other features Drury's Megan McGrath and four players from Pittsfield High: Harolyn Castillo, Kyana Summers, Bre'Jai Ellerbee and Madison Stetz.
 
The final game of the night features boys from Classes A and B.
 
Pittsfield's Bri'awn Thompson will play on one team. The other squad will include Wahconah's Sam McLaughlin and Cooper Calvert.
 
Tickets to the event are $14 to $22 each and available here or at the door after 4 p.m.
