McCann Tech Downs Smith Vocational

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. – Zachary Howland scored 15 points, and Jaxson Pilot added 13 Monday to lead the McCann Tech boys basketball team to a 49-41 win over Smith Vocational.

 

Pilot hit three 3-pointers and scored 10 points in the first quarter, when the Hornets jumped out to a 21-9 lead. McCann Tech stretched its margin to 35-18 by half-time.

 

“Kyle [Rougeau, six points] played great ‘D,’ shutting down [Dominiq] Sanchez,” McCann Tech coach Chris Bullett said. “Pilot, Howland and Verne Percy (eight points) all played well on offense.”

 

Sanchez scored 14 to lead Smith Voc.

 

McCann Tech (4-2) is at Lee next Monday.
