Hornets Punch Ticket for State Tournament

BUCKLAND, Mass. – Zach Howland scored 17 points Friday to lead the McCann Tech boys basketball team to its 10th win of the season, a 62-43 win over Mohawk Trail.
 
Howland scored seven points in the second quarter, when the Hornets outscored their hosts, 24-10, to take a 35-19 lead into the locker room.
 
Jaxson Pilot scored 16 points, and Julian Bullett scored 12 in the win.
 
McCann Tech (10-6) clinched a spot in the Division 5 State Tournament with the win.
 
It learns Tuesday whether it qualified and where it will be seeded in the Western Massachusetts Class C Tournament.
