Ullrich, Eagles Come Back, Win in OT on Road

LUDLOW, Mass. – Michael Ullrich scored 16 points Thursday to lead the Mount Everett boys basketball team to a 49-42, overtime win over Ludlow.
 
With the victory, the Eagles clinched a berth in the Division 5 State Tournament.
 
After being held to just two points in the first three quarters, Ullrich exploded for 10 in the fourth to help the Eagles outscore the Lions, 11-5, to force overtime.
 
In OT, Ullrich scored three more points, and Sean Warren scored six of his 14 as the Eagles earned an 11-4 edge and the win.
 
Brady Carpenter scored 11 points in the victory.
 
As a team, Mount Everett made 21 of 29 free throws, including 12-of-18 in the fourth quarter and overtime.
 
Mount Everett (10-4) hosts Westfield Tech on Monday.
