Taliaferro Leads Eagles Past Lee

LEE, Mass. – Darius Taliaferro scored 33 points Tuesday to lead the Mount Everett boys basketball team to a 72-44 win over Lee.
 
Taliaferro scored nine in the third quarter, when the Eagles outscored the Wildcats, 19-7, to take a 49-32 lead.
 
Trevor Leonard scored 11 points, and Brady Carpenter added 10 in the win.
 
Lee was led by Joey Abderhalden with 18 points.
 
“Not the best night for us tonight,” Lee coach Dan Korte said. “Credit to Mount Everett for coming out with a lot of energy, moving the ball well, and making shots. We had a difficult time finding our rhythm.”
 
Lee (7-8) hosts Mount Greylock on Friday.
 
Mount Everett (12-2) is at Libertas Charter on Friday.
