Santos, Sandifer Lead Taconic Past East Longmeadow

PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Tayvon Sandifer scored 21 points, and Ceasar Santos added 20 on Thursday to lead the Taconic boys basketball team to an 84-46 win over East Longmeadow.

 

Maimoudou Bamba scored 16, and Steve Patch added nine as the Thunder finished the regular season with a record of 16-2.

 

It was a 42-27 game at half-time before Taconic put the contest away with a 20-4 third quarter. Sandifer scored 10 points in that third quarter.

 

Taconic learns Friday who its opponent will be in the quarterfinals of next week’s Western Massachusetts regional tournament.
