Sistrunk Sizzles as Big Second Half Lifts Taconic

PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Jamal Sistrunk scored 31 points Friday, and the Taconic boys basketball team outscored Amherst-Pelham, 49-28, in the second half to earn a 68-54 win.
 
The Hurricanes built a 26-19 advantage at half-time, but Sistrunk took over the game in the third quarter, scoring 12 points on his own to help the Thunder tie it, 42-42.
 
In the fourth, he dropped in a pair of 3s and went 3-for-4 at the line for nine more points as Taconic pulled away.
 
Kyle McGrath scored 10 points, and Ceasar Santos had nine in the win.
 
Taconic (12-5) hosts Agawam on Monday.
