Sistrunk, Thunder Set Rubber Match with Pittsfield

PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Jamal Sistrunk scored 24 points Tuesday to lead Taconic to a 78-56 win over Sci-Tech and set up a rematch with Pittsfield in the Western Massachusetts Class B semi-finals.
 
Ceasar Santos scored 14, and Christian Maturevich added 12 for the second-seeded Thunder, which jumped out to a 23-8 lead after one quarter and never looked back in improving to 14-5 this winter.
 
On Thursday, Taconic will host third-seeded Pittsfield (14-5) for a berth in Saturday’s Western Mass final.
 
In the regular season, Taconic won the first meeting between the two squads, 76-65, and three weeks later, Pittsfield earned a 68-62 win.
