Hoosac Valley Wins a Taconic

PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Adan Wicks scored 34 points Tuesday to lead the Hoosac Valley boys basketball team to a 78-71 win over Taconic.

 

Wicks dropped in three of his eight 3-pointers and scored 13 points in the first quarter, when the Hurricanes jumped out to a 25-15 lead.

 

Blake Mazzeo and Qwanell Bradley each scored 16 for Hoosac Valley, which held off the Thunder’s comeback bid in the second half.

 

Kalvin Phillips scored 24 for Taconic, which got 15 from Evan Roccabruna.

 

Taconic (3-11) goes to Monument Mountain on Friday.
