Hoosac Valley Edges Monument Mountain

CHESHIRE, Mass. – Adan Wicks scored 18 points, and the Hoosac Valley boys basketball team outscored Monument Mountain, 18-15, in the fourth quarter to earn a 62-61 win on Monday night.

 

Qwanell Bradley scored seven of his 13 points in the fourth quarter, when Blake Mazzeo scored six of his 16.

 

Craig Field also scored in double figures for the Hurricanes, putting in 13 points.

 

Finn Wheeler led the Spartans with 23 points – 15 on 3-pointers. Finn Mason and Nolan Barnes finished with 18 and 16, respectively, in the loss.

 

Monument Mountain (0-1)  hosts Pittsfield on Friday.

 

Hoosac Valley (2-0) is at Wahconah on Thursday.
