Rousseau Leads Hoosac Boys to First Win

CHESHIRE, Mass. -- Colin Rousseau scored a game-high 12 points Wednesday to lead the Hoosac Valley boys basketball team to a 50-41 win over Lenox.
 
Tyler Lancia and Austin Mendel each scored eight, and Keagan McGrath added seven as the Hurricanes picked up their first victory of the young season.
 
The difference was a 13-4 third quarter that allowed the Hurricanes to open up a 42-24 lead. In that quarter, Izaha Stubbs scored five of his seven points.
 
Connor Parkinson led Lenox (0-2) with 10 points. Michael Hurley and Nick Nicotra added nine and eight, respectively.
 
Lenox plays Taconic on Thursday, Dec. 22, at the Boys & Girls Club in Pittsfield.
 
Hoosac Valley (1-2) goes to Monument Mountain next Thursday.
