McLaughlin, Wahconah Pull Away from Lenox in Second Half

DALTON, Mass. – Patrick McLaughlin scored 20 points, and the Wahconah boys basketball team held Lenox to nine points in the second half in a 49-30 win on Thursday.
 
“We played well defensively in the second half,” Wahconah coach Dustin Belcher said. “I was proud of our effort in the second half.”
 
Jack DuCharme scored 10 points, and Aidan Hagmaier added eight in the win.
 
Chris Lyon, Max Shepardson and Brendan Ward each hit a 3-pointer in the first quarter to help the Millionaires take a 14-10 lead. But Wahconah came back to lead, 24-21, at half-time.
 
Shepardson led Lenox with nine points, all on triples. Shaler Larmon scored eight.
 
Lenox (3-11)  hosts Drury on Saturday.
 
Wahconah (6-5) hosts Agawam on Saturday.
