Wahconah Bounces Back Against Monument Mountain
DALTON, Mass. – Cooper Calvert made seven 3-pointers and scored 31 points Thursday to lead the Wahconah boys basketball team to a 69-45 win over Monument Mountain.
“We did a great job defensively, and I’m proud of the way we responded after a tough loss,” said Wahconah coach Dustin Belcher, whose team fell to Drury for its first loss of the season on Monday night.
Jake Wasuk scored 10 points, and Jack DuCharme and Sam McLaughlin added nine apiece in the win.
Finn Wheeler and Finn Mason each scored nine for the Spartans, who got eight apiece from Nolan Barnes and Dom Calautti.
Monument Mountain (2-5) is at South Hadley on Friday.
Wahconah (8-1) goes to Taconic on Tuesday.
