Calvert, Wahconah Bounce Back

DALTON, Mass. – Cooper Calvert scored 29 points, and the Wahconah boys basketball team Monday snapped a three-game skid with a 95-62 win over Greenfield.

 

Calvert hit a pair of 3-pointers and scored eight points in the first quarter, when Wahconah stormed out to a 35-11 lead.

 

“I am really happy with the way we responded after last week,” Wahconah coach Dustin Belcher said. “We came out ready to play from the opening tip and did a great job sharing the ball on offense.

 

“Tonight was a really good team win.”

 

Jake DuCharme scored 19 points, and Sam McLaughlin and Gio Venable added 13 and 10, respectively, in the win.

 

Wahconah (12-4) goes to Monument Mountain on Friday.
