Abderhalden, Wildcats Win on Senior Night

LEE, Mass. – Joey Abderhalden scored 20 points Friday to lead the Lee boys basketball team to a 73-45 win over Mount Greylock on Senior Night for the Wildcats.

 

Jacob Cooper scored 18 points, and John Brighenti added 13 as Lee snapped a two-game skid.

 

“It was a great team win tonight,” Lee coach Dan Korte said. “I thought we played solid defense, and moved the ball on offense the best we have all year.

 

“With it being Senior Night, you never know if that will be a distraction, but that was not the case tonight. If anything I think it gave us a boost with everyone working together to make sure we took care of getting an important win against a tough and scrappy Mount Greylock team.”

 

Brady Auger scored 12 points to lead the Mounties, who got nine from Logan Fitzgibbons.

 

Mount Greylock (4-12) hosts McCann Tech on Monday.

 

Lee (8-8) welcomes Hoosac Valley on Monday.
