Mount Greylock Boys Win Wild South Division Showdown

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. — Sean McCormack scored 18 points Thursday to lead the Mount Greylock boys basketball team to a 52-50 win over Monument Mountain.

Sam Dils scored 10, and Patrick Storie and Toby Foehl added nine apiece as the Mounties lost a 26-15 lead and came from behind in the fourth quarter to improve to 9-4 on the season.

 

Joe Aberdale scored 11, and Daniel Newey added 10 for the Spartans, who outscored the Mounties, 22-10 in the third quarter to take a 37-36 lead going into the fourth.

 

David Riegel and Connor Prince each hit two 3-pointers in that third quarter for Monument.

 

The Spartans (9-7), who saw a six-game winning streak come to an end on Thursday, look to get back in the win column on Monday when they host Lee.

 

Mount Greylock takes a seven-game win streak into Monday’s home game against St. Joseph.
