Monument Mountain Boys Pull Away in Second Half Against Drury

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. -- Connor Hanavan scored 19 points to lead the Monument Mountain boys basketball team to a 52-34 win over Drury on Wednesday night.
 
The Spartans outscored the Blue Devils, 32-16, in the second half to break open a close contest.
 
"It was a hard fought game, and James Carr hit a corner 3 late in the third quarter to help us get some separation," Monument Mountain coach Randy Koldys said. "It was a very sluggish first half by both offenses in the first half."
 
Kenzel Chandler-Ellerbe scored 10 points, and Kyle Wellenkamp added six in the win.
 
Louis Guillotte scored 15 points to lead Drury, which got nine from Tim Brazeau.
 
The Blue Devils (3-2) host Wahconah on Thursday.
 
Monument Mountain (10-4) hosts Mount Everett on Thursday.
