Monument Mountain Boys Come Back for Win at Pittsfield

PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Finn Wheeler scored 22 points Wednesday to lead the Monument Mountain boys basketball team to a 53-47 win over Pittsfield.

 

Dom Calautti finished with 19 points for the Spartans, who came back from a nine-point third-quarter deficit to win their fifth straight.

 

Both Wheeler and Calautti figured into a 6-0 Monument Mountain run to close out a tight game.

 

Hans Hocker got that run started by putting back an offensive rebound. Wheeler then scored twice at the free throw line before Calautti got his own putback to seal the win.

 

Quincy Abellie scored 13, and Bri’awn Thompson added 10 for the Generals.

 

Pittsfield (8-5) is at Wahconah on Wednesday.

 

Monument Mountain (7-5) is home Friday against Mount Greylock.
