GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. – Finn Mason Thursday scored 19 points to lead the Monument Mountain boys basketball team to a 79-60 win over Easthampton.

Mason scored 14 points in the fourth quarter, when the Spartans outscored the Eagles, 25-15, to put the game away.

Monument Mountain led all night, but Easthampton got within five points by the end of the third.

“Easthampton just wouldn't go away, but I was proud of the guys for how they finished off the game and how we bounced back from a tough loss at Drury on Tuesday night,” Monument Mountain coach Randy Koldys said.

Finn Wheeler scored 17 points, and Dominic Calautti added 12 for the Spartans, who got eight points from Nolan Barnes.

Monument Mountain (9-6) has won seven of its last eight heading into Friday’s home game against Taconic.
