Santos, Taconic Top Pittsfield at Boys and Girls Club

PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Ceasar Santos scored 21 points Monday to lead the Taconic boys basketball team to a 76-65 win over Pittsfield at the Boys and Girls Club.
 
Jamal Sistrunk and Christian Maturevich each scored 14 points, and Luke Murphy added eight for the Thunder.
 
Taconic led by 10 at half-time and opened up a 19-point lead going to the fourth quarter after a 24-15 third.
 
Santos scored 12 points in the third quarter, including both his 3-pointers on the night.
 
In the fourth, Taconic held off a comeback bid by the Generals, who scored 29 points over the final eight minutes.
 
Patrick Brennan hit three 3-pointers and scored 11 points for Pittsfield in the fourth on the way to a 13-point night.
 
Malachi Perry scored 16 points to lead the Generals, who got 12 points apiece from Makai Shepardson and Nunu Brown.
 
Pittsfield (6-4) goes to Agawam on Thursday.
 
Taconic (7-2) hosts Springfield International Charter School on Friday.
