Smith Vocational Edges Lenox
LENOX, Mass. – Josh Cole scored 20 points Tuesday to lead the Smith Vocational boys basketball team to a 58-56 win over Lenox.
“It was a tough loss in a game that came down to the final possessions,” Lenox coach Len Miller said. “Smith Vocational High School made the plays late, and we didn’t. Our kids battled all the way to the final second, but the bottom line is we came up short in a game we believe we could have won if we had made a few more shots and defended better. We led at halftime and again after the third quarter, but Smith outscored us by three points in the fourth quarter, which proved to be the difference.”
Nico Lelslie scored 15 points, and Dylan Blake added 13 to lead the Millionaires, who got nine points and six rebounds from Langston Cotton. Seamus Cooney had five rebounds and several assists to go with his eight points.
Lenox (3-14) finishes the year at home on Wednesday against Renaissance.
