Lenox Boys Finish on Positive Note
LENOX, Mass. – Dylan Blake led all scorers Wednesday to lead the Lenox boys basketball team to a 59-56 win over Renaissance in the Millionaires’ season finale.
The Millionaires jumped on top early, taking a 40-21 lead at half-time fueled by strong shooting from Blake and Duke Jaehnig (15 points, seven rebounds).
The Phoenix rose in the second half, cutting the margin to seven with a 17-7 third-quarter run.
But Lenox showed composure down the stretch to preserve the lead, taking advantage of some clutch late free throws from Langston Cotton (eight points, eight rebounds).
“It was a great team effort overall, with several players stepping up and playing very solid defense, making it a perfect way for this young Lenox squad to end the season,” Lenox coach Len Miller said.
The Millionaires finish the year with a record of 4-14.
