NORTH ADAMS, Mass. – Jacinta Felix knocked down three 3-pointers and scored a game-high 13 points Monday to lead the Drury girls basketball team to a 60-24 win over Taconic.

Ashlyn Hayden scored 11 points, and Elise Daly added eight as the Blue Devils evened their record at 4-4 this winter.

“We started slower than I would have liked,” Drury coach Ian Downey said. “It felt like we were going through the motions most of the first half. I think they cut the lead to 22-17 and it forced me to call a time out. I didn’t make any changes, just expressed to them that we needed to pick up the intensity.

“To their credit, they listened and finished the half strong. At half time I echoed that message that we needed to have a good start to the third and that’s exactly what they did.”

Kiannah Josephs scored nine points for Taconic, which got seven from Jalisa Jessup.

The Thunder (2-5) is at Amherst-Pelham on Wednesday.

The Blue Devils have a quick turnaround, going to Pioneer Valley on Tuesday night.
