NORTHFIELD, Mass. – Addie Harrington scored 15 points Wednesday to lead the Pioneer Valley girls basketball team to a 50-42 win over Drury.

“This was a hard fought game that I thought was a good test for our young team,” Drury coach Ian Downey said. “[Jacinta] Felix ran into foul trouble so she had to sit the second quarter. I thought the job Ashlyn Hayden did on Harrington in the second half was key to keeping the game close. Unfortunately, they hit some big shots to put the game out of reach late.

“On the road against good teams we know they are gonna make some shots. They might not play a lot of girls but they have a really good team. Harrington controls the floor and you can’t leave [Kyler] McClelland open.”

Felix led Drury with 10 points. Hayden and Norah Wood added nine and eight, respectively.

Drury (4-5) goes to Mount Greylock on Friday.
