South Hadley Girls Down Drury
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. – Cara Dean scored 22 points Wednesday to lead the South Hadley girls basketball team to a 58-25 win over Drury.
The Tigers jumped out to a 24-6 lead in the first quarter and never looked back.
“We’ve played teams like PHS, Frontier, Wahconah, Pope Francis, and now South Hadley,” Drury coach Ian Downey said. “One thing I’ll say is this: If teams overlook South Hadley in Division 4 or Class B because of their record, they will regret it. Depth might be a concern, but their top five can compete with anyone in the postseason.”
Ella Bond scored six points, and Megan McGrath added five to lead the Blue Devils.
Drury (12-4) is at Pioneer on Saturday.
