Drury Girls Dominate Pioneer

NORTHFIELD, Mass. – Delaney Hayden scored nine points Saturday to lead the Drury girls basketball team to a 40-13 win over Pioneer Valley.

 

Addisyn Shepard and Norah Wood scored eight and seven, respectively, for the Blue Devils, who held their hosts scoreless in the first quarter.

 

“I thought we gave a great defensive effort tonight,” Drury coach Ian Downey said. “We also did an excellent job running our sets and our motion offense. We’ve been working hard in practice because we know against good teams you have to be able to score in the half court, so it was nice to see the players execute.”

 

Drury (13-4) finishes the regular season on Monday at Frontier.
