McCann Tech Stymies Pioneer Valley

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. – Madison Rougeau and Aiden Champney each scored eight points to lead the McCann Tech girls basketball team to a 36-21 win over Pioneer Valley on Wednesday.

 

Faith Brazeau scored seven, and Gabriella Lefevre added six in the defensive battle.

 

“I can't say enough about their energy, hustle, and teamwork on the defensive end of the floor and really all over the floor,” McCann Tech coach Justin Kratz said. “We held them to four points in the first and third quarter to really set the tone for each half. Super proud of the team and the buy-in defensively.”

 

The Hornets (10-1) qualified for the Division 5 State Tournament for the win.

 

They will be home again on Thursday night against Pioneer Valley Chinese Immersion Charter.
