Gibeau, Dowling Lead McCann Tech Girls in Road Win

BUCKLAND, Mass. -- Allie Gibeau scored 15 points Monday to lead the McCann Tech girls basketball team to a 51-48 win over Mohawk Trail.

 

Aimee Dowling added 12, and both Gibeau and Dowling came up big early for the Hornets.

 

Each hit four field goals -- including a couple of 3-pointers from Gibeau -- in an 18-point first quarter that set the tone for McCann. 

 

The Hornets led, 30-23, at half-time, saw Mohawk come back to within a point through three quarters and put the way with a 13-11 fourth quarter that saw Michaela Malloy score four of her nine points.

 

McCann Tech (6-9) goes to Pioneer on Thursday.
