SHEFFIELD, Mass. -- Southwick's Maeve Turmel scored 22 points Monday to lead the Rams to a 39-24 win over Mount Everett.

"For not having played a game in almost two weeks with postponements, the girls played well," Eagles coach Joshua King said. "Always room for improvement and growth, and credit to the kids for sticking with it.

"I cannot imagine having to deal with all the adversity these kids are enduring with postponements, cancellations, etc., and credit to them for sticking it out."

Maggy Sarnacki scored nine points, and Hudah Ngoy Nkulu and Emma Goewey each scored seven for Mount Everett.

The Eagles (1-5) host Lenox on Friday.
