Hebert Leads Thunder in Senior Night Win

PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Senior Anna Hebert scored 14 points Tuesday to lead the Taconic girls basketball team to a 44-34 win over Franklin Tech on Senior Night for the Thunder.
 
“We started the game out slow but picked it up midway through the first quarter,” Taconic coach Jason Conuel said.
 
After spotting the Eagles an 18-10 lead through the first quarter, the the Thunder allowed Franklin Tech just 17 points the rest of the game.
 
In the second quarter, Hebert scored six points to help Taconic trail by just a pair, 24-22, at half-time.
 
Senior Jalisa Jessup scored five points in the third quarter, when Taconic pulled ahead to take a 34-28 lead.
 
Jessup finished with nine points and helped Taconic handle Franklin Tech’s pressure, Conuel said.
 
Jaelynn Walker scored 12 points and was a force on the glass in the win.
 
“We have come a long way from Day 1, and I’m proud of my team,” Conuel said.
 
Taconic (4-13) hosts Hoosac Valley on Wednesday.
