Drury Girls Down Taconic

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. – Ella Bond scored 12 points, and Delaney Hayden added 10 to lead the Drury girls basketball team to a 69-20 win over Taconic on Monday.

 

Lily Mirante and Elise Daly added nine and eight, respectively, and nine different Blue Devils scored at least five points.

 

Drury improved to 4-1 with the victory.

 

“As good as it feels to get the win, we need to have a strong week of practice heading into our matchup with PHS on Friday,” Drury coach Ian Downey said. “Friday’s game will be a good barometer of where we are as a team, and I’m excited for the challenge.”

 

Jalana Smith led Taconic with seven points. Kiannah Josephs and Evellyn Croce scored six and five, respectively.

 

Taconic (0-5) travels to Monson on Friday.
