MONSON, Mass. – Evellyn Croce Friday scored 15 points to lead the Taconic girls basketball team to a 57-25 win over Monson.

Croce scored seven in the first quarter, when the Thunder stormed out to a 14-3 lead.

“For the first time this year, we had everyone healthy, and we were able to get the win,” Taconic coach Jason Conuel said. “We still have a lot to work on, like limiting our turnovers. The bright spot was our defense and our ability to get out in transition and score.”

Kiannah Josephs scored nine points, and Jalana Smith added eight in the win.

Taconic (1-5) hosts Mount Greylock on Tuesday.
