Hoosac Valley Girls Top Taconic

CHESHIRE, Mass. – Reagan Shea scored 18 points Thursday to lead the Hoosac Valley girls basketball team to a 59-18 win over Taconic in the season opener for both teams.

 

Ava Jagiello hit three 3-pointers and scored 13 points for the Hurricanes, who jumped out to a 24-9 lead in the first quarter.

 

Evelynn Croce scored five points to lead Taconic, which got four points apiece from Melani Hamilton and Lily Ferris.

 

Taconic (0-1) goes to Easthampton on Tuesday.

 

Hoosac Valley (1-0) hosts Frontier on Tuesday.
