Lagess Leads Hurricanes Past Monument Mountain

CHESHIRE, Mass. – Genevieve Lagess Monday scored 24 points to lead the Hoosac Valley girls basketball team to a 47-35 win over Monument Mountain.

 

Gianna Witek scored 12 points, and Regan Shea added six in the win.

 

Jaziyah Forte scored eight to lead the Spartans, who got five points apiece from Caroline Becker and Mallory Lucey.

 

Monument Mountain (1-4) visits Easthampton on Jan. 6.

 

Hoosac Valley (2-3) is at Mount Greylock on Friday.
