Pope Francis Girls Get Narrow Win at Hoosac Valley

CHESHIRE, Mass. – The Pope Francis girls basketball team Tuesday jumped out to a 35-24 half-time lead and held on for a 52-50 win over Hoosac Valley.
 
Maeve Turmel and  Lacey Bermudez-Lizardi each scored 11 points to lead the Cardinals.
 
Genevieve Lagess scored a game-high 17 for the Hurricanes, who got 14 points from Reagan Shea.
 
Hoosac Valley (5-9) hosts Lenox on Thursday.
