Wahconah Girls Fall at Pope Francis

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Maeve Turmel scored 28 points Friday to lead the Pope Francis girls basketball team to a 56-45 win over Wahconah.

 

Turmel hit four of her six 3-pointers in the fourth quarter, when the Cardinals outscored Wahconah, 21-12.

 

Madison McCarthy scored 18 points, and Brooke Harrington added 12 to lead Wahconah.

 

Wahconah (8-4) goes to Lenox on Tuesday.
