Wahconah Girls Fall at South Hadley

SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. – Cara Dean scored 23 points Monday to lead the South Hadley girls basketball team to a 62-50 win over Wahconah.

 

The Tigers shot 7-for-10 at the free throw line in the fourth quarter, helping them pull away in a close game that saw Wahconah within one point with 2 minutes, 30 seconds left to play.

 

Madison McCarthy scored 20 points to lead Wahconah, which got 13 from Danielle Hagmaier.

 

Wahconah (11-7) learns Tuesday who it will face in the first quarter-finals of the Western Massachusetts Class B Tournament.
