Mount Greylock Comes Back to Beat Taconic

PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Madison Drake scored 10 points Friday to lead the Mount Greylock girls basketball team to a 38-35, come-from-behind win over Taconic.
 
The Mounties outscored the Thunder, 13-8, in the fourth quarter to erase a two-point deficit and emerge with their first win in eight games.
 
Drake hit a 3-pointer and scored five points in that fourth quarter rally, which saw the Mounties go 6-for-9 at the free throw line.
 
Mia Filiault scored eight points, and AJ Pelkey added six in the win.
 
For Taconic, Anna Hebert made a game-high three 3-pointers and scored 12 points. Jaelynn Walker scored a game-high 13, and Jalisa Jessup added seven.
 
Mount Greylock (4-15) and Taconic (4-15) both finish the season next week against Hampden Charter – the Mounties at home on Tuesday and the Thunder on the road on Wednesday.
