GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. – Alexa Davis scored 22 points Thursday to lead the Springfield International Charter School girls basketball team to a 61-56 win over Monument Mountain.

Spartans coach John Perrault said it was the best game his team has played this year considering the quality of the opponent.

“We lost by 18 last Thursday to them, and tonight we held the lead at the half and then hung with them down to the wire,” Perrault said. “We had a chance to tie the game with 16 seconds left but came up short.”

Elee Hull scored 16 points to lead Monument Mountain, and Natalie Lewis was right behind her with 15.

Monument Mountain (8-6) hosts Lenox on Friday.
