GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. – Elee Hull scored 17 points in a balanced attack Thursday to lead the Monument Mountain girls basketball team to a 63-55 win over Pittsfield.

“Pittsfield is a great team, and this was a big win for us as we get ready for Western Mass,” Monument Mountain coach John Perreault said.

The Spartans were ahead 36-21 at half-time before the Generals rallied to make it a one-possession game.

“Pittsfield cut the lead to two points with four minutes remaining [in the third], and we could have folded. Instead, we finished the quarter on a 9-0 run to lead by 11 going to the fourth.”

Natalie Lewis scored 13, and Evi Higgins and Abby Dohoney scored 11 apiece in the win.

Jamie Duquette led Pittsfield with 18 points and 14 rebounds. Randi Duquette and Dezerea Powell scored 15 and 10, respectively, and Charlotte Goodnow passed out seven assists.

Pittsfield (10-8) and Monument Mountain (11-7) learn Saturday who they will meet in the quarter-finals of next week’s Western Massachusetts regional tournament.
