WASHINGTON, Mass. — On May 25, join the Hoffmann Bird Club on their annual trip to October Mountain State Forest.
This trip involves driving to multiple birding spots with some walking along roadsides. One stop at the marsh involves walking on narrow grassy paths down to a marsh.
Meet at Washington Town Park on Route 8 in Washington AT 7 AM.

MassDOT: South County Construction Operations
LEE, Mass. — The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) is announcing crews will be conducting nighttime guardrail work, pavement milling, erosion control, and bridge repair operations at various locations and times on I-90 eastbound and westbound during the week of Monday, June 17.
Lane closures will be in place during the construction operations, and traffic will be able to travel through the work zones. The schedule for the work and lane closures is as follows:
Otis/Blandford
Guardrail work will be conducted on I-90 eastbound from mile marker 21.0 to 26.0 from Monday night, June 17, through Thursday night, June 20, from 7:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. the next morning. The work is expected to conclude by 5:30 a.m. on Friday, June 21.
Pavement milling operations will be conducted on I-90 westbound from mile marker 21.0 to 27.2 from Monday night, June 17, through Thursday night, June 20, from 7:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. the next morning. The work is expected to conclude by 5:30 a.m. on Friday, June 21.
Blandford
Bridge repair work will be conducted on I-90 eastbound from mile marker 26.0 to 27.0 from Monday night, June 17, through Thursday night, June 20, from 7:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. the next morning. The work is expected to conclude by 5:30 a.m. on Friday, June 21.
