The Williamsville Inn, West Stockbridge - The Taste of Germany Culinary School is pleased to announce its first Open House on Sunday, January 16, 2005 from 1- 3 p.m. The public is invited to observe cooking demonstrations by certified Master Chef and Culinary Instructor Erhard Wendt and sample German appetizers. "The Taste of Germany Culinary School and Restaurant have become a culinary destination in the Berkshires" said Master Chef Wendt, "and we take our guests on a culinary excursion to Europe without leaving the Berkshires". The Culinary School is another feature of the Williamsville Inn, adding to its authentic German restaurant featuring an open view into the new state-of-the-art professional kitchen. Master Chef Wendt designed the new kitchen using international professional equipment. A Rational Combi Steamer from Germany, a Jade range with two French Tops, 6 burners, two ovens & a Salamander, a 8' x 10 ' feet walk-in fridge, separate bar & dishwashing areas with French windows and sky lights; truly, a chef's dream. The cooking classes are a unique way to meet new people and to learn exceptional recipes as well as professional techniques. "Most people learn best by doing, so we specialize in hands-on learning techniques while having fun preparing dishes like Chicken Provencial, Sauerbraten, Apple Strudel, Beef Capacchio and Tarpenade just to name a few" said Master Chef Wendt. Each culinary class is limited to 6-8 participants. Additional cooking classes are scheduled for the spring and fall. The Williamsville Inn is located on Route 41 in scenic West Stockbridge, Massachusetts.
