Overnight Parking Restrictions
PITTSFIELD, Mass. - The Pittsfield Police would like to remind vehicle owners and operators that the overnight parking restrictions will be enforced starting December 1, 2009. There will be no parking on any city street, sidewalk, or tree-line from the hours of 11 pm to 7 am.The fine for violating this ordinance will be $25.00. Vehicles can be towed at the owners’ expense if it is obstructing public safety operations.
If a snow emergency is declared, vehicles that are obstructing snow plowing operations will be towed at the owners’ expense.
In the event of a snow emergency, vehicles may be parked in the three (3) hour public parking areas of the Summer St. and McKay St. parking garages between the hours of 11 pm and 7 am. No vehicle will be permitted to park in any open municipal parking lot between the hours of 12 am and 7 am, so the lots may be properly plowed and sanded.
