Berkshire Bank Names Five Employees Volunteers of the Year

PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Berkshire Bank announced that five of its employees have been recognized for outstanding community service and named Berkshire Bank's Volunteers of the Year. 

Award recipients were selected based on their service to nonprofit organizations both in bank-sponsored volunteer projects and in the broader community. An awards luncheon was held in Pittsfield at Berkshire Bank headquarters where the recipients received their awards from Executive Vice President Linda Johnston. Each award winner also received a $500 donation that will be made to the nonprofit organization of their choice.
 
Volunteer of the Year recipients are:
  • Tara Kimberley: Assistant Branch Manager in Sheffield. A donation was made to Community Health Programs and the Berkshire South Regional Community Center.
  • Chuck Sharp: Branch Manager at Richville Road in Manchester, Vt. A donation was made to the You Are Never Alone Foundation and The Compassionate Friends, Inc.
  • Lisa Davison: Assistant Branch Manager of Chestnut Street in Rome, N.Y.  A donation was made to the Rome Rescue Mission and Utica Rescue Mission. 
  • Michelle Rouleau: Business Services Officer in Albany, N.Y. A donation was made to the Ryan Wersten MIOP Foundation.
  • Teddi Averin: Teller in Westfield. A donation was made to the Westfield Food Pantry.

March to the park starts at City Hall, followed by music, dance, food, history and more hosted by NAACP Berkshires. The event is free and open to everyone.

Teens are invited to bring their Nintendo Switches; there also will be multiple games and snacks for kids to enjoy and have fun.

The Revival House on Commercial Street is hosting chef Xavier Jones for a popup restaurant on Fridays and Saturdays in June. Limited menu; $5 reservation includes beverage.

Stacy Schiff on Samuel Adams
Adams Theater, Park Street

In conversation with Sara Houghteling, Pulitzer Prize-winner Stacy Schiff will explore the origins of the American Revolution as detailed in her latest work, "The Revolutionary: Samuel Adams," for whom the town is named. Schiff is an Adams native and Williams College graduate.
