Lanesborough Holds 2021 Election For Offices
LANESBOROUGH, Mass. — Voters went to the polls on Tuesday to decide to keep the incumbent in the one race on the ballot.
For Select Board, voters opted 2 to 1 for incumbent John Goerlach, with 215 votes, over challenger Brianne Morrison, who garnered 92.
Goerlach, who chairs the committee, will be returning for his sixth three-year term since 2006.
Robert Reilly, who was elected to a one-year seat on the Finance Committee last year, was elected to a full term along with Stephen Wentworth, for this second term, with votes of 259 and 244, respectively.
Elizabeth Drury, running unopposed, was elected to a three-year term as library trustee with 285 votes.
Also running unopposed, Christopher Dodig secured a second three-year term as moderator with 274, and Joseph Szczepaniak III was returned to the Planning Board for another five-year term by 270 votes.
With only one race on the ballot this year, turnout was low with 324, or about 14 percent, of the town's approximately 2,300 registered voters casting ballots.
