Berkshire Force Bounces Back at New England Regional

PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Kaylana Altman went 2-for-3 with a home run Friday to lead the Berkshire Force 12-and-under softball team to a 12-4 win over Windham, N.H., at the Babe Ruth New England Regional.
 
Altman drove in a pair of runs for the Force, which bounced back from a morning loss to even its record at 1-1 in the tournament going into Saturday's bracket play.
 
Olivia Archembault went the distance in the circle on Friday evening, striking out nine and allowing just three earned runs.
 
She also helped her cause by going 2-for-3 with a pair of triples and a pair of RBIs at the plate.
 
Beth Morton doubled and drove in three runs.
 
Addison Farkas, Gianna Moses, Lexi Witherall and Stella Matthews each had a pair of hits in a 16-hit attack for the Force.
 
A full day of action on Saturday at the Doyle Complex gets underway at 9 a.m. with games in three age groups.
