Warm Up the Winter Musical Supports South Berkshire Residents

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. — The Guthrie Center will host the Warm Up the Winter Musical Celebration on Thursday, March 6, to benefit Construct’s annual winter assistance campaign. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., with performances starting at 7:15 p.m.

This year's event, a tribute to working families, features a lineup of local musicians, including Wanda Houston and Jeff Gonzales, youth Elvis tribute band Made in Memphis, and special guest Doug Mishkin. Tickets are $100 and include live music, dinner catered by Juju’s of Great Barrington, and beverages.

Proceeds will support South Berkshire residents with emergency needs such as heating fuel, utilities, and rent assistance. Tickets and donation information are available at constructberkshires.org and the event’s Facebook page.

Local Bowlers Compete at High School Nationals

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Monument Mountain's Noah Walker rolled two 200 games during the qualifying round at the U.S. High School Bowling National Championship on Sunday.
 
Walker was one of four Berkshire County bowlers competing in the event. None made the cut to reach Monday's second phase of the competition.
 
Walker started his day strong with a 229 and ended it with a 211 to post a four-game series of 749.
 
The cut line for the 549-bowler field of boys was 796 as 180 bowlers advanced to the tournament's "Survivor" round.
 
The girls high school national featured 293 competitors. The cut line ended up at 728, sending the top 96 bowlers to Monday's round.
 
Lee High's Devyn Fillio was the highest-finishing Berkshire County girl with a four-game total of 670.
 
Her Wildcat teammate Lauren Scheurer finished with a 483.
